PEMF therapy is Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy. Think of PEMF Therapy as a deep tissue massage for your cells, working on the mitochondrial level.  The pulses stimulate the cells, charge them and promote cellular regeneration.  As the cells are being pulsed, the therapy alternates between engaging and relaxing the cells in the body between pulses.  The cells are able to become more permeable during this process and therefore allow more oxygen and nutrients to be brought in, and remove toxins.  Areas of injury and inflammation are targeted, by-passing all healthy and vital cells.

The coils send a low-frequency EMF's in waves throughout the animal or human's body, which are safe and non-invasive.  Even though the EMF pulses come from the EQ XX machine, they resemble the natural electromagnetic fields that we can find in nature.   During treatment you will see muscles twitching or contracting. The contractions are not always the same on each side, as one side may react more than the other. The electromagnetic fields are causing the muscle tissue to pulse in low energy or damaged areas. 

PEMF has been used for over 50 years in Europe although it seems like it is a new trend in Canada and the United States.  Studies have shown that PEMF therapy can reduce inflammation, ease tightness, help with injury recovery, and can make animals more supple and allows for recovery from hard and aggressive training faster.  There are no reports of PEMF therapy having adverse reactions so it is very safe for humans, horses, cattle, sheep, goats and companion animals.
